CS2 Update Rumours in April

Currently, there are many rumors surrounding upcoming updates for Counter-Strike 2. Among them are speculations about a new Operation. The last operation was Operation Riptide, which took place during the era of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It ended in February 2022. Since then, there have been no operations in CS:GO or Counter-Strike 2. It has now been more than four years since the last operation.

A new operation could potentially bring the popular map ‘Cache’ back into the game.

It is also very likely that the beta version of AnimGraph 2 will be integrated into the game as early as April. In addition, there are ongoing discussions about an improved anti-cheat system and the possible return of the Danger Zone mode. Danger Zone was introduced in late 2018 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but it was removed from the game with the release of Counter-Strike 2.

There is also speculation about new agent skins. These could be introduced as part of an Armory Pass update, as such an update is also expected. Data miner Thour regularly publishes updated game files from the CS2 developers, where he recently discovered a new folder labeled ‘Agents’.This further fuels speculation about upcoming content in Counter-Strike 2.

Ultimately, all we can do is wait and hope that the long-awaited content players have been asking for will finally make its way into the game.
