Counter-Strike 2 was released on September 27, 2023. For some players it was already playable on September 1, 2023 as a limited beta. The game was announced on March 22, 2023 with the summer of 2023 as its planned release date.

When was Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) released?
Released on August 21, 2012, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive marked the fourth installment in the primary Counter-Strike series developed by Valve. Similar to Counter-Strike: Source, the game operates on the Source engine. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows, OSX, and Linux, along with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. Additionally, it offers backward compatibility on the Xbox One console.

Counter-Strike: Source was released on October 7, 2004 and featured a complete remake of the original Counter-Strike with the new Source game engine.

On October 7, 2014 Nexon released the Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies spin-off based on the GoldScrs game engine. In 2019 it was renamed to Counter-Strike Nexon: Studio.
