Given that the last operation, “Riptide,” concluded over two years ago, players are eager to see what new content and challenges await them.
New maps for the first CS2 operation?
Thera by FMPONE & MF_Kitten
Thera is the spiritual sucessor to the well-known CS:GO map Santorini. Just like on the old map you are playing on the greek island of santorini. The map is designed for the classical 5vs5 gamemode.
Memento by MadsenFK, ynel, TwinN & g3om
Memento feels a bit like de_inferno as it is also set in an italian city. The CT side on this wingman map starts near the great lake and has to defend the beautifull secenary but most notably the wedding which looks like is about to take place.
Mills by catfood
Mills is another map designed by the famous map creator “catfood”. This new map is set in a small village in the netherlands and features plenty of narrow corridors and angles. The map is designed to be played in the traditional 5vs5 bomb defusal gamemode.
Palais by tchick, Art Verina, Quoting
The next map on the list is another wingman map, but this time you get to play on the rooftops of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Your mission on the CT side is to defend the historic museum and the community garden.
Ravine by jd40, Quadratic, Quoting
Our map list has another beautiful scenery in store for you. From the rooftops of Paris we climb the mountains to the snow-covered castle of “Ravine”. On this wingman map you can fight from the castles courtyards to the wine cellar.
Akiba by Coachi, Kale, Haaselh0ff, Squidski
The last map on our list takes us to Tokyo, Japan. Or to be more precise to the “UPX Akiba Convention Center” where the terrorists are determined to disrupt the ongoing exhibition.
Assembly by Almaas, Huvaligen, Thomas & Quoting
After visiting a lot of different locations on our list we make a final stop at an air plane factory. The map “Assembly” is another wingman map set in a factory. A nice easter egg on this map is the website airalmas.com which is shown on the plane. The link takes you to a website on which all of the rumored new maps are linked as destinations. A hint for the upcoming update?
