What is SkinBaron?

SkinBaron is a German marketplace for CS:GO, DotA 2, TF2, Rust and H1Z1 skins. It works similar to the well known Steam market. The big difference is, that the seller can actually withdraw his balance in real money, because it is not steam wallet balance. Because of this advantage, prices are lower than on the steam market. Sellers and buyers both profit from this benefit! Furthermore we provide protection during trading and payment through our escrow system. You have to be at least 18 years old and you have to own a steam account to use our site.

How does our escrow system work?

SkinBaron acts as a trustee for all your purchases and sales, so that scams are not possible. This means that the trade of the skins and the entire payment process are handled by SkinBaron
Our buyer guarantee: If you buy skins on SkinBaron, you will receive your purchase within minutes from our SkinBaron bots on Steam.
Our seller guarantee: If you sell skins on SkinBaron, you will receive the sales revenue immediately after the sale as a credit to your SkinBaron account and you can instantly withdraw it as real money or use it to purchase other skins.


How do I contact the support ?

You can contact the support directly via our "contact form". In addition, you can click on your avatar in the top right corner where you will see the menu item "Support" on the left. Here you can find an additional way to contact the support and an overview of all previous support tickets.


Does SkinBaron offer any kind of partnership?

Increase your trust level

If you increase your trust level your limit for depositing and withdrawal will be higher. Especially for payment methods like PayPal.
You can increase your trust level by uploading a picture of the front- and backside of your ID in addition to a bill on which your full name and address is visible

SkinBaron API

With our SkinBaron API you can automate processes on our marketplace such as buying, selling and canceling offers.

How do I buy on SkinBaron?

  1. Log in to SkinBaron via your steam account

  2. Be sure that your privacy settings on Steam and your inventory are set to public

  3. If you haven’t set up your Steam tradelink in your SkinBaron account yet please look right here

  4. Select one or more skins and add them to your cart

  5. Press “checkout” and select your payment method. Afterwards you can finalize your purchase by clicking “Buy now”.

  6. Shortly afterwards you will receive a trade offer of our SkinBaron Bots on Steam

  7. Accept the trade offer and complete your purchase

How do I sell on SkinBaron?

  1. Log in to SkinBaron via your steam account

  2. Be sure that your privacy settings on Steam and your inventory are set to public

  3. If you haven’t set up your Steam tradelink in your SkinBaron account please look right here

  4. Press “Sell” on the top right corner in the navigation bar

  5. Select the skins you want to sell through your inventory. You can choose which skins and from which game you want to sell skins.

  6. Set your price or use our price suggestion

  7. Press “create offer”

  8. Shortly afterwards you will receive a trade offer of one of our SkinBaron Bots on Steam

  9. Accept the trade offer and complete your SkinBaron offer. It can take some minutes until your offer is shown in the market. If you are searching for your CS:GO skin please also look for tradelocked items.

  10. As soon as someone buys your skin on the market the sales value will be credited to your SkinBaron account

CS:GO 7 day tradelock

Since the CS:GO update from 30th March 2018 CS:GO Items automatically are tradelocked 7 days after they have been traded. The tradelock always ends at 7am (GMT) of / or after the last tradelocked day. So in worst case the tradelock lasts actually 8 days. DotA 2, Rust, TF2 and H1Z1 are not affected!SkinBaron has no influence on this lock neither can we bypass this. In consequence, skins which have been sent to SkinBaron and the offer has been canceled, can not be sent back to your Steam account until the tradelock of these items is over. Tradelocked items which are offered on SkinBaron, can be bought with the mentioned tradelock. The buyer can receive the skin on steam when the tradelock is over. Until then the skin will remain at SkinBaron or the SkinBaron Inventory which is accessible through your profile. The seller will receive his money instantly after the purchase has been done.


How do we determine our price suggestions?

Our price suggestions are calculated by 78% of the Steam marketplace average.This value is calculated by all sales on the steam market of the last 7 days. The mentioned percentage has shown that prices at this value decrease the time it takes until your skin is actually sold. Of course you can choose the sales price you desire. Please mind that high prices can lead to very long sales time or that your skin will not be bought at all. You can find a rough estimation on the “Sell” page.


How do I change the price for my already listed items ?

  1. Press on your Avatar picture on the top right

  2. Go to the navigation bar on the left and select “Sales”

  3. Use the pen icon which is displayed right behind the price of the item to edit the price

  4. Select the desired price and accept via the check mark


How do I cancel my offers ?

  1. Press on your Avatar picture on the top right

  2. Go to the navigation bar on the left and press “Sales”

  3. Use the checkbox on the left and select the items you want to cancel (You can select multiple items)

  4. Press “cancel selected offers”

  5. Shortly afterwards your Skins appear in the SkinBaron Inventory

  6. Do you have issues with your cancelling offers? Our support will help you along

Please mind, that items which are still tradelocked cannot be sent to your account before the 7 day tradelock of the individual item by Valve is over!


Why do I not receive a trade offer ?

There are multiple reason why you possibly cannot receive any tradeoffers:

  1. You recently changed or installed the Steam-Authenticator. Usually this happens after the first time activation of the Authenticator or after you have changed your mobile phone or phone number. Changing your steam password also leads to a temporary trade ban. You can get further informations if you try to trade with another person on Steam.

  2. Your tradelink which you have set up in your SkinBaron profile is not valid or not valid anymore. Please check that your tradelink set in your SkinBaron profile is identical to the one on Steam.

  3. ou have a VAC-, trade-, or community-ban. In conclusion your account cannot execute any trades anymore. If you have already bought items please contact our support.

  4. Your Inventory is full. Your CS:GO Inventory can handle up to 1000 Items. If you already reached that limit you need to clear your inventory for the number of items you want to receive


What’s the SkinBaron 2-Factor-Authorization?

To protect you and your items from scam SkinBaron is offering a 2-factor-authorization via E-Mail. You can switch that service on and off in you personal profile at “Account security”. We recommend to leave it turned on.


Why has my trade offer been canceled ?

All received trade offers of our SkinBaron bots, while buying or selling, are valid for 10 minutes. If you do not accept the trade in this time period you can resend the offer via your SkinBaron profile.
For purchases press on the top right on your avatar and go to your profile. Press “purchases” in the navigation bar on the left. Looking at your trade you can find the button “resend offer”.

For pending sales or retrieved items you can find the same menu under your “Sales” tab. Next go to “pending sales” or check “retrieved items” in your SkinBaron inventory. You can resend your offer in both menus.

How do I deposit money to my SkinBaron account?

  1. Press on your Avatar on the top right

  2. Go to the navigation bar on the left and press “My Account”

  3. Choose the type of deposit you want to use and follow the instructions carefully


Which payment methods are supported by SkinBaron ?

SkinBaron is offering a variety of payment methods, so you can deposit money fairly easy or pay for your purchase.
On SkinBaron you can pay for your purchase directly via PayPal, SOFORT, bank transaction or Paysafecard. You can also deposit money using these methods.sing standard bank transaction (IBAN) or Bitcoin is limited for depositing money only.

You can withdraw your money using bank transaction (IBAN), Paypal or Bitcoin. Withdrawal amount has to be at least 5,00 €.
Depending on your payment method there might be additional fees. You can find a overview below in the topic Fees


How long does a withdrawal take?

SkinBaron is processing and transmitting all withdrawals within 24 hours. However withdrawals via bank transfer (IBAN) and Bitcoin can take 3 working days until the amount is credited to your account.


Why do I have a payment and withdraw limit ?

To ensure safety of the buyer and seller, certain payment methods feature daily limits. If this limit is not sufficient for your purpose you can increase your trust level. Further information are provided right here.


Can I refund money which I have already deposited to my SkinBaron account?

Yes, this is possible. You can do this on your own by withdrawing the deposited amount via the same payment method you used for depositing. If you used a method for depositing which is not permitted for withdrawal please use bank transaction (IBAN).


I have made a deposit via bank transaction (IBAN) but my account has not been credited yet
Standard bank transactions (IBAN) usually take from 1 to 3 days until they are credited to our bank account. We would appreciate if you wait at least those 3 days before contacting our support. Please mind that banks do not process any transactions on the weekend. Thus your transactions which have been made on thursday or friday usually arrive on the beginning of the next week at our bank account.
If you have not been credited any money after 3 working days, please contact our support with following information:

  1. Name of the person holding the bank account

  2. Transaction amount

  3. Date of transaction

  4. IBAN of the account

  5. Payment reference

  6. If you can add a picture of the transaction in your bank account this usually helps us a lot


Fees

While selling a fee of 10% of the selling value will be charged. This amount will be rounded up to the next higher Euro Cent [€] and thus the minimal fee amount is 0.01 €.
All prices and fees include VAT. There are no fees for the buyer.

SkinBaron is charged for money transfers by most payment suppliers. We pass those fees to our customers fairly and transparently and even offer payment methods without fees to our customers.
